To celebrate Earth Day, The Waterford at Fitchburg hosted a succulent bar! Residents were provided with all the ingredients to create beautiful succulent arrangements, including plants, soil, rocks, and decorative teapots and vases to house their creations. It was a wonderful way to celebrate nature and creativity while bringing the residents together to share in the joy of crafting and connecting.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter, curiosity, and creativity as residents explored different combinations of textures and colors for their arrangements. Many shared fond memories of past gardens and houseplants, while others discovered a new appreciation for the beauty and simplicity of succulents. The event not only highlighted sustainability and green living but also nurtured a strong sense of community and joy in creating something meaningful together.

100 years of wisdom
Happy 100th birthday to Marge! The Harrison celebrated her incredible milestone with all her favorite things—sweet treats, bubbly drinks, and a charming sign filled with fascinating facts from the year 1925, the year she was born. Surrounded by friends, staff, and joyful memories, Marge beamed with gratitude and grace throughout the celebration.
When asked her secret to reaching 100, Marge simply said, ‘Love everyone.’ Her words reflect a life beautifully lived, grounded in compassion and positivity. What wonderful advice from a woman whose century of life has clearly been filled with kindness, warmth, and wisdom. Marge continues to inspire all who know her with her gentle spirit and bright smile. Happy birthday to a truly remarkable woman!

Growing together
Rosemont’s gardening club needed a raised flower bed, and when the idea was brought up, Mr. Ripley and Life Enrichment Coordinator MaLinda knew just what to do. Working together, they built a beautiful raised bed, thoughtfully constructed at chair height so everyone could comfortably participate. Their project is a true example of teamwork, creativity, and the simple power of making things grow—together.
The raised bed has already become a beloved feature of the garden, inviting residents to gather, plant, and enjoy the outdoors in a way that’s both accessible and engaging. It’s not just about growing flowers and herbs—it’s about cultivating joy, connection, and a sense of accomplishment. Thanks to this thoughtful collaboration, Rosemont residents now have a welcoming space to dig in the dirt, share gardening tips, and take pride in watching their efforts bloom.
