Joyful Moments: Giving back to Pinewood Derby

The Support Center’s finance team spent a day at The Wellington at North Richland Hills for an outdoor cleanup event! They worked on tasks, from landscaping to power washing, all aimed at enhancing the beauty of the community’s exterior. The team tackled a variety of projects, including trimming bushes, planting flowers, and cleaning outdoor surfaces, helping to create a more welcoming and vibrant environment for the residents.

It was a rewarding day, where the team not only contributed to the upkeep of the community but also had the chance to bond and collaborate outside the office. They enjoyed the opportunity to work together in a different setting, strengthening their teamwork and building stronger relationships. The event highlighted the importance of giving back while also fostering a sense of pride in the community and the work they accomplished.

Mighty Moments

The Waterford at Westover Hills celebrated National Superhero Day in style this week. Residents had a blast dressing up in their favorite superhero costumes, embracing their inner heroes and striking fun poses with friends. Everyone enjoyed holding up comic book-style quotes, making for some memorable photos. The creative energy was contagious, with everyone getting into the spirit of the day and sharing plenty of laughs along the way.

The celebration wrapped up with a screening of Superman, which was a big hit among both residents and team members. It was a perfect way to bring everyone together, enjoying a classic superhero film that sparked nostalgia and excitement. It was a fun, high-spirited day that left everyone feeling uplifted and connected. The event truly highlighted the power of community and the joy of celebrating life’s little adventures.

Laps of Love

The Ashton at Anderson held a fun Pinewood Derby for their Magnolia Trails™ residents, bringing the community together for a day of creativity and friendly competition. The team assisted everyone in decorating their cars, offering a helping hand with designs and encouragement along the way. Peggy’s car, “The Green Machine,” took first place in the race, with cheers and excitement filling the air as each car crossed the finish line. It was a joyful event that brought out the competitive spirit while also allowing everyone to express their creativity in a supportive, fun environment.

After the race, a special memorial lap was made to honor a resident who had recently passed away, paying tribute to his wife, a beloved member of the Magnolia Trails™ community. The heartfelt gesture brought a moment of reflection and connection for all in attendance. It was a day full of memorable moments, blending lighthearted fun with emotional significance, leaving the community with lasting memories of both friendly competition and a shared sense of community spirit.
