Cottonwood Village celebrated Nurses Week with a heartfelt ceremony honoring both past and present nurses. The event was a touching tribute to the dedication, compassion, and selflessness shown by those who have devoted their lives to caring for others.
In a meaningful show of appreciation, the Arizona Nurses Honor Guard attended in full uniform, bringing flowers and expressing gratitude to resident and community nurses who answered the call to serve.
The ceremony also recognized the current team members at Cottonwood Village who continue to carry that legacy of care forward each day. It was a beautiful and emotional moment of recognition, filled with pride and appreciation. Thank you to all nurses—past, present, and future—for everything you do!

Salon Surprise
Before moving to The Waterford at Plymouth, Mary was a devoted customer at her favorite local salon, where she regularly enjoyed a bit of self-care and connection. Over time, she missed those special moments of relaxation and dreamed of having another spa day. Wanting to make that dream come true, the team at The Waterford reached out to her longtime stylist and arranged a day filled with pampering and joy.
Mary was treated to a manicure, pedicure, and fresh haircut—each service bringing a smile to her face and a sense of comfort and familiarity. To make the day even more special, the team took her out to dine at her favorite restaurant. It was a day full of meaningful gestures and happy memories. “Oh, I am so happy,” Mary said with a smile, glowing from the experience.

Notes of Joy
Pat grew up surrounded by music, learning to play various instruments throughout her life. Yet one dream always remained just out of reach—learning to play the flute. It was an instrument she had long admired for its graceful sound and elegance. When the team at The Waterford at Fairfield learned about this lifelong dream, they were inspired to make it come true by arranging a special, personalized flute lesson just for her.
The moment was everything Pat had hoped for. She cherished the rare opportunity to finally play the flute, an experience that left her deeply moved and full of joy. To make the day even more meaningful, her daughter joined in, creating a memory the two will always treasure. “Her daughter joined us as well, and together they shared a joyful and memorable afternoon,” says Jennifer, Activity Director. It was a beautiful celebration of music, family, and dreams fulfilled.
