The Waterford at Fairfield granted their mother-daughter resident duo their Tree of Dreams of visiting Italy! They started with what they called a “Milan makeover,” which included a stylish haircut and fresh new look, leaving them feeling glamorous and ready for their adventure. “Breakfast in Venice” featured rich coffee enjoyed with a beautiful backdrop of the city’s iconic canals, creating a serene and picturesque moment to start their day. For “lunch in Sicily,” they indulged in a big Italian pasta feast, savoring the rich flavors and warmth of traditional Italian cuisine.
When they returned to the community, they were greeted with a red-carpet welcome, making them feel like true VIPs. Staff and fellow residents cheered as they walked in, celebrating their unforgettable journey. Jennifer, Activities Director, said, “They shared so many laughs and memories were made!” The experience was not only a dream come true but also a beautiful reminder of the joy that special moments can bring. Great job to the team!
St. Patrick’s Day
Crown Pointe celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day with a lot of Irish spirit! Starting with an Irish breakfast, the community partook in a fun scavenger hunt followed by music, drinks and shamrock bingo. Residents dressed up in their best green and had a great time celebrating the holiday, enjoying lively conversations and laughter throughout the day.
Team members joined in on the fun by dressing up in festive attire, adding to the cheerful atmosphere with their energy and enthusiasm. Some residents took part in a themed photoshoot, posing with a playful “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” sign, capturing memories of the joyous occasion. The day was filled with smiles, good company and a true sense of community spirit, making it a Saint Patrick’s Day to remember!
Strike a pose
Summit Place & Summit Court held a glamour photoshoot day for residents to dress their best and have fun! The community was buzzing with excitement as residents selected their accessories, from feather boas and fun glasses to sparkly hats and dazzling jewelry. With smiles on their faces, they struck confident poses for the camera, channeling their inner movie stars.
Staff members encouraged residents to express themselves, helping them feel special and celebrated. Laughter filled the room as friends cheered each other on, creating a lively and uplifting atmosphere. Kelly, Magnolia Trails Director, said, “It was a huge success. The residents had so much fun dressing up!” They looked great doing it and loved seeing their photos afterward, reminiscing about the wonderful day and sharing their glamorous snapshots with loved ones. The event not only brought joy but also created lasting memories for everyone involved.
