Aspen Grove hosted residents Jim and Martha’s 65th wedding anniversary this week. Caregivers helped Martha with her hair and makeup, and the dining team prepared one of their favorite meals: a steak dinner. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple celebrated 65 wonderful years together.
The celebration was filled with heartfelt stories and laughter that reflected the deep bond Jim and Martha have shared over the decades. Laura, Magnolia Trails Director, says, “We wish many more years of happiness and love to the beautiful couple.”
Dream Flight
Cottonwood Village granted resident Irma’s Tree of Dreams wish this week: to fly! Irma had always wanted to experience skydiving, so the team took her to do the next best thing. Irma shared that flying represents freedom to her. Samantha, Life Enrichment Director, said, “You showed us that no matter our age, if we have a dream, it can come true. It’s never too late!” Great job, team!
The experience was filled with excitement and joy as Irma soared through the air, embracing the thrill she had longed for. Friends and staff gathered to cheer her on, making the moment even more special. This unforgettable adventure not only fulfilled Irma’s dream but also inspired everyone at Cottonwood Village to believe in the power of hope and perseverance.

Weathering Fun
Residents of The Lodge at White Bear enjoyed a pontoon ride as they explored White Bear Lake. Despite the rain, they embraced every moment, soaking up the fun and camaraderie. They learned fascinating stories about the lake’s past, shared laughs, and made the most of every soggy second. It was a reminder that sometimes the best memories are made when plans take an unexpected turn.
The group’s positive spirit and enthusiasm truly turned the rainy day into a special occasion. With umbrellas in hand and smiles all around, they bonded over shared experiences and new discoveries. The adventure not only deepened their appreciation for the lake’s rich history but also strengthened the sense of community among the residents.
