Residents can take advantage of the many different amenities offered at Southern Meadows. Amenities offered include 24-hour staffing available to residents every day of the week, visiting physical and occupational therapy services, a visiting podiatrist for all your feet-related medical needs and visiting physician assistants.
Residents enjoy three restaurant-style meals a day plus snacks available 24 hours a day. Housekeeping and laundry services plus transportation services to local shopping and appointments are also available to all residents.
Jill, the Executive Director, says, “Southern Meadows does not participate in the level of care nursing program. We offer most services at one cost to the residents. We are proud to say that our nursing team is the best team in Mountain Home.”
The community is located near two beautiful lakes and two spectacular rivers. There are plenty of opportunities for someone who loves to be on the water! There is also a local theater nearby and plenty to see on our scenic drives.

Activities to keep seniors engaged
Residents can stay engaged with a monthly resident council. The resident council meets monthly to discuss life at Southern Meadows, including things that are working and things that are not working for residents. The community receives many suggestions on new things to try.
As for socializing at Southern Meadows, they offer:

- Picnics and other outings
- Gardening
- Scenic drives
- Wine and cheese socials
- Movies events
“The residents at Southern Meadows truly care about one another,” says Jill, Executive Director. “They enjoy socializing with each other at mealtimes, checking on others when they are ill, even sending cards when a resident is in the hospital.”
