Memory Care

Our specialized program, Magnolia Trails™, goes beyond the typical management of Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia by providing care for the whole person–mind, body and spirit. Our caregivers work with families and their loved ones’ health care providers to create a unique plan for each resident.

We tailor the days to meet seniors where they are at each moment. From daily interactions and activities to the environment and food, every aspect of the experience we provide is centered on the resident.

Temporary Stay

Whether you’re recovering from surgery, receiving outpatient treatment such as cancer care, or simply in need of a supportive environment while your caregiver is away, our short-term stay option is designed with you in mind.

This program—sometimes called respite care—is available for individuals who don’t qualify for short-term rehab but still need daily support. It’s also a great way to explore our lifestyle before making a long-term decision.

With the opening of our new Vista building in Summer 2025, guests will enjoy private, fully furnished apartments along with full access to our amenities, services, and compassionate care. From nutritious meals to engaging activities, we’re here to make every day as comfortable and supportive as possible while you recover, recharge, or simply rest.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Care Options

What are the differences between independent living, assisted living and memory care?

Independent living offers the advantages of independence paired with an active social life and assistance when it’s needed. You enjoy the convenience of living in an apartment or condo, along with the benefits of planned community activities, amenities and optional support services like housekeeping, laundry and more. There are no property taxes to pay or unexpected home maintenance costs to cover. If needed, light clinical assistance is available from outside agencies or private caregivers.

Assisted living communities are for seniors who could benefit from assistance in their daily activities. This could include housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry services, medication assistance, or help with bathing, incontinence care or getting dressed. Seniors in assisted living can maintain their independence for as long as possible. Yet, they have the peace of mind that staff are on call 24/7 to respond to their needs or help in an emergency.

Memory care facilities, also known as dementia care communities, provide a comforting environment for seniors with cognitive challenges such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Apartments and common areas are secured to enhance safety. There are more employees available to help provide specialized care for residents of memory care than at an independent or assisted living community.

How much does senior living cost in Cincinnati, Ohio?

There are many factors that affect pricing, including the type of apartment you choose — such as a studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom floor plan. At The Wellington at North Bend Crossing, pricing starts at $2,950 per month for independent living, $4,650 per month for assisted living, and $6,500 per month for memory care.

Moving to a senior living community can often help simplify your expenses. Your monthly rent typically covers utilities (including basic cable and internet), groceries, meals, dining service, housekeeping, maintenance, scheduled transportation, and a wide range of activities and events.

There are also many options available to help pay for senior living, including long-term care insurance, life insurance conversions, bridge loans, and more. Our team is happy to discuss available resources and help you find the best financial solution for your needs.

What services are included in senior living rent?

At our community, staff are on-call 24/7 to respond to resident needs or emergencies. We offer social activities, meals, support with chores like housekeeping and laundry, medication management and help with tasks like bathing and getting dressed. Residents generally have their own apartments, although some communities offer shared apartments to make them more affordable.

Are medical services offered on-site?

Many senior living communities offer on-site care, like physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, through partnerships with care providers, as well as home health care and hospice services. Senior living communities cannot provide clinical services like IV therapy, wound care and 24-hour nursing supervision.

What is respite care/temporary care?

Respite care, also known as temporary stay, offers a short-term living option at a senior living community. It’s designed for individuals who need daily support for a limited time — whether due to a caregiver’s absence, recovery from illness or injury, or simply to explore the community before making a longer-term decision.

At The Wellington at North Bend Crossing, our temporary stay program provides access to all community amenities, services, and compassionate care. Fully furnished apartments will be available starting Summer 2025 with the opening of our new Vista building.
