JoDell, the Magnolia Trails Director, shared her excitement, saying, “It was a hit, and we will definitely host another tournament soon!” The event was a tremendous success, bringing residents together for a fun and engaging day.
Congratulations to Team Larry on their remarkable win, and a big thank you to all the participants for making the first-ever Magnolia Trails Golf Open such a memorable event! We look forward to more tournaments and friendly competition in the future!
Winning moment
This week, Crown Pointe had the pleasure of fulfilling another heartwarming Tree of Dreams for 101-year-old resident Maxine. Maxine, who had never visited a casino, made a special request to experience it for the first time, and the team was eager to grant her wish. With the support of the staff, Maxine enjoyed a thrilling adventure, and as Elizabeth, the Activities Director, proudly shared, “She came out a winner!”
Maxine reflected on the day with immense joy, calling it a fantastic experience. She couldn’t stop smiling as she recalled the excitement, the fun and the sense of adventure she felt throughout the visit. This special outing was a perfect reminder of the power of dreams and the joy of making them come true, no matter your age. The event not only brought happiness to Maxine, but it also brought the whole community together in celebration.
A huge thank you to the entire team for their dedication to fulfilling another amazing Tree of Dreams, making a lasting impact on Maxine’s life and creating beautiful memories for everyone involved!
Giving tree
Yvette, the Magnolia Trails Director at The Wellington at Dayton, introduced a special new Christmas tradition for the residents by creating a Giving Tree.
The idea was born from the fact that many residents have family members who live out of town and wanted to find a way to stay connected with their loved ones during the holiday season. Yvette’s vision was to offer a way for residents to share in the excitement of giving and receiving gifts, even if their families couldn’t be there in person.
The Giving Tree was adorned with “tags,” each representing a resident, and now, thanks to the generosity of the community, all the tags have been adopted. The residents will come together to celebrate by opening their gifts, creating a festive and heartwarming atmosphere. As they gather to share the joy of the season, they’ll enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, making for a truly memorable holiday experience.
This thoughtful initiative has brought the residents closer together, spreading love and cheer throughout the community. Great job, Yvette, for creating such a meaningful tradition that brings joy to everyone involved!
