Joyful Moments: from balloon games to birthdays

Ruth, a fabulous resident of the Rosemont, recently celebrated her remarkable 101st birthday, surrounded by the warmth and love of family and friends. The occasion was a true celebration of her incredible life, filled with laughter and heartfelt moments.

TJ, the Activities Director, shared, “She felt like royalty in her stunning Dalmatian shawl and charming tea hat, inspiring us all to live life with purpose! Her spirit shines brighter than ever!”

Ruth’s joyful presence and zest for life not only brought joy to those around her but also served as a beautiful reminder of the importance of cherishing every moment. This milestone birthday was not just a celebration of years lived but also of the love and legacy she continues to create in the hearts of those she touches. Happy 101st birthday, Ruth!

Hoosier History

Residents enjoy the Indiana Historical Society

A group of residents from The Oaks at Plainfield recently embarked on an exciting field trip to the Indiana Historical Society.

With a deep sense of pride in their Hoosier roots, the residents engaged in lively discussions about the exhibits, sharing their own memories and connections to the history they were exploring. They also learned about famous Hoosiers like Florence Henderson, Larry Bird, and James Dean, to name a few.

The visit not only provided a fascinating glimpse into Indiana’s history but also fostered a sense of community among the residents. It was a memorable outing for everyone involved, including the pup!

Balloon beards

To celebrate “National No Beard Day,” the residents of The Waterford at Round Rock participated in a balloon shaving contest.

As razors popped the balloons, residents were playfully sprayed with shaving cream, creating a lively atmosphere. One of the gentlemen took the initiative to demonstrate the proper technique!

Jerry, the Activities Director, remarked, “The room was filled with laughter as the balloons lost their beards!”

What a wonderfully creative and enjoyable activity!
